Lost Boys Interactive Has Issued Another Round Of Layoffs

Lost Boys Interactive has revealed that it has issued an unspecified number of layoffs at the company, following news at the beginning of the year that a ‘sizeable portion’ of staff had lost their jobs.

Owned by Embracer Group, Lost Boys Interactive was established in 2017 and is a support studio that had worked on the likes of WWE 2K, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, PUBG, Diablo IV, and New World. The studio confirmed the layoffs in a post on LinkedIn.

Lost Boys Interactive CEO, Shaun Nivens, commented:

Today is a challenging day for Lost Boys Interactive as we face the difficult decision to reduce our workforce. We recognize the impact of this decision on our team members, who have contributed greatly to our success. Decisions involving staff reductions are never made lightly, and this action was taken only after considering all other options. We are committed to supporting them in every way we can during this transition.

Lost Boys Interactive is yet another studio in a sadly long line of game developers who have laid off staff throughout the year, a trend that doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
