Madden NFL 11 cover features Drew Brees; details inside

Fans either really like New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, or they are crossing their fingers the Madden curse returns. But, that’s a terrible thing to wish for as Brees was the star QB from the last Super Bowl, and was a class act all around. In the first-ever online consumer vote, fans of Madden and Doritos have chosen Brees over the Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen and Indianapolic Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne.

Brees was the Super Boxl XLIV MVP and led the Saints to their first ever Super Bowl title. Years prior, Brees suffered a serious injury, nearly ending his career. He joined the Saints in 2005, less than a year after Hurricane Katrina. He has been an asset to the team and a leader in the community. The quarterback also has several awards and titles, and the Brees Dream Foundation.

EA says we can expect Madden NFL 11 to feature a simpler, quicker, and deeper experience. You’ll call plays like an NFL coach using the all new play calling system, GameFlow, which executes a situational game plan for you. You’ll spend more time on the field and less time in your playbook. As you can imagine, Madden NFL 11 comes filled with improved animations and control options, enhanced online functionality, and new broadcast and audio presentation that delivers the NFL experience.

Madden NFL 11 is coming this summer to just about every system under the sun: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360, mobile platforms, iPod Touch and iPhone.
