Mafia II no longer has multiple endings

Mafia II senior producer Denby Grace has confirmed that the developers have decided to axe the game’s use of multiple endings.

The mobster sequel had originally included four ending sequences for players to unlock. However, Grace revealed that the team decided to cut them and settle on one ending, citing lack of quality as the reason behind the decision.

Speaking to IGTV, Grace commented, "We had four multiple endings at one point in the game, and then we looked at it and we had one really outstanding great ending to end our story.”

"We just said ‘You know what? Let’s just ditch these other endings, this is the ending everyone wants’ and that’s one thing we’re happy with making that choice."

Mafia II is due out in August for PS3, PC and Xbox 360.
