Sony has released the official box art for the North American release of its massive online shooter MAG. The game will be released exclusively on the PlayStation 3 in late January.
In addition to showing off the official box art, Zipper Interactive has posted some MAG Beta figures on the PlayStation Blog. There were more than 42,000 matches played during the first public Beta, which ran from Aug. 17 to Dec. 5. There were more than 534,000 miles travelled in-game during Beta in October.
During the final month of Beta, which hosted some 65,000 players, 3,500 people qualified for Platoon Leader, 1,100 people made it all the way to the OIC, and 206 dedicated warriors made it all the way to the level 60 experience cap. There was about 18 million kills, including some 700 million shots fired.
