You know what’s more thrilling than eating for a living? Well, a lot of things actually, but Mastiff Games, a publisher located in San Fransisco, has acquired the license for a game based on the Major League Eating competitions.
Yes, you read that correctly — there will be a videogame based solely around eating. Expect to see lots of hot dog, deep-fried asparagus and jalapeño eating in this low-carb title.
The announcement reads, "Major League Eating: The Game features the world’s greatest gurgitory athletes competing across 12 different food types. Built much like a fighting game, MLE: The Game requires players to show brilliant onscreen eating; a mastery of offensive and defensive weapons including burps, belches, and mustard gas."
"Major League Eaters aren’t just athletes," said Bill Swartz of Mastiff Games, "they are the people who built America."
No platforms or possible release windows have been mentioned, but we’re sure you guys won’t be too upset if this one goes multiplatform. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to go feast on some hot dogs with our good friend Mr. Kobayashi.
