The Make It Rain campaign has returned to Final Fantasy XIV, which offers players 50% bonus MGP at the Gold Saucer. Plus, certain items will be discounted during this campaign, and some items will be limited throughout Make It Rain. The event is now live and will remain available until June 24 at 14:59 GMT.
This event starts from Ul’dah; you must first complete the quest “It could happen to you,” which is the quest needed to unlock the Gold Saucer. The event is very simple and will have you visit different locations to advertise the current event in-game.
To start the quest, you need to speak with Ollier at (X:9.4, Y:9.1) in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald. Once this cutscene is over, you should head to Gold Court in Ul’dah – Steps of Thal, which the nearest Aetheryte is at the Gladiators guild for fast travel; once you are there, speak with Ollier again at (X:10.9, Y:11.0). After this cutscene, you will need to speak with him again to transform for the next step of the quest. You then have to visit these three locations in order
1.(X:13.7, Y:10.5)
2.(X:13.7, Y:12.7)
3.(X:10.9, Y:12.3)
Once this has been accomplished, you will need to speak with Ajisai at (X:10.9, Y:11.0). This cutscene will lead you towards the Gold Saucer, which is where you will be spending most of the event (perhaps going off to do a GATE or two, or maybe some Chocobo Racing or perhaps some Mahjong?). Head towards Ollier at (X:5.0, Y:8.1) for the event rewards! You will get the Senor Otter Back Pack, Senor Otter Minion and an achievement.
After you have finished, go speak with the Campaign Attendant at (X:5.4, Y:6.3) to be able to purchase three different housing items. These are advertisements that cost 2k MGP, which is a currency you can earn in the Gold Saucer from doing different activities. Remember, they’re currently at 50% extra. In addition, make sure to do the challenge log, as that is also impacted by the MGP bonus, making getting the 2k needed for the event items a lot easier. The same Campaign Attendant will also sell previous Gold Saucer rewards from previous make-it-rain events if you missed them or if you just wish to purchase more.
