Marathon Has Been Rated For PS4 And Xbox One By The ESRB

The ESRB has posted a rating for a PS4 and Xbox One version of Marathon, which launches today on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.

Bungie hasn’t announced anything about a last-generation version of Marathon, and there’s a chance that is simply a mistake; on the flip side, the ESRB has outed games and ports of existing titles ahead of an official announcement countless times in the past.

We’re at a stage during the current-generation lifecycle that PS4 and Xbox One ports are becoming less common however, and you have to wonder with Marathon if the game is even possible on Sony’s last-generation hardware. There’s been no comment from Bungie about a PS4 and Xbox One release, so we’ll just have to wait and see

Yesterday, Bungie announced details on the post-launch season for Marathon, revealing each one will last around three months and offer new content and features. In addition, the developer revealed late last month that it is not going to be giving cheaters any second chances; unscrupulous players will be banned from playing the game forever.

Marathon is out today for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
