According to the financial statements for developer Arkane Studios for 2024, production on Marvel’s Blade didn’t kick off until the end of that year, following prototype validation.
Marvel’s Blade was announced in December 2023, so at that point the game was not even in full production. Given the amount of time AAA games take to develop nowadays, it’s pretty clear that Marvel’s Blade is still a long way off, as it would’ve only been in production for about 18 months at the time of writing.

Marvel’s Blade is confirmed to be a third-person action game with a strong emphasis on narrative, which is a departure from Arkane’s previous works, which traditionally utilise a first-person view. The game follows Eric Brooks, aka Blade, the legendary Daywalker as he finds himself in a quarantine zone in Paris, France where vampires are terrorising the city during nightfall.
Marvel’s Blade is currently in development for PC and Xbox Series X/S, although given Microsoft’s recent strategy of bringing its games to other formats, there’s a chance that it could come to PS5 too.
