Marvel’s Midnight Suns Director Sceptical Of James Gunn’s DCU Plans

Jake Solomon, the director behind last year’s critically acclaimed Marvel’s Midnight Suns, has responded to the new DC Universe plans outlined by James Gunn earlier this week.

In case you missed it, Gunn plans for a connected universe featuring video games, films and TV projects, which will use the same actors. However, there’s also a separate universe known as the Elseworlds, allowing other projects to flourish without being connected to the main DCU.

However, Solomon expressed apprehension about the plans, and shared the following on Twitter:

This would have been a nightmare for us on Midnight Suns. I understand the desire (I think) but movies and games are so, so different. And the pressure this puts on the amazing voice actors in the games space? Different universes. And that’s how they should/will stay.
