Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 Rumours Ignite As Peter Parker Face Model Teases New Facial Capture Work

Ben Jordan, the face model for Peter Parker in Insomniac Games‘ Spider-Man series, has ignited chatter that the developer is working on Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Jordan posted an image of himself preparing for facial capture work alongside the text “IYKYK,” which if you’re old like me and have no clue what all this stuff means, it stands for ‘If You Know, You Know.’ He accompanied this with a spider emoji, which doesn’t take a lot of detective work to figure out what he’s referring to. Still, this is only speculation, as Insomniac Games hasn’t said anything about Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, and is currently working on Marvel’s Wolverine for its highly anticipated Fall 2026 release.

There is a chance that Peter Parker himself may appear in Wolverine if it takes place within the same universe as the wall-crawler’s heroic antics, but the prospect of a third Spider-Man game isn’t that much of a stretch.

Marvel’s Spider-Man was released for the PS4 in September 2018, and was followed by 2020’s Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and 2023’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Jordan wasn’t originally used as the face model for the origin game — the game instead used the likeness of Peter’s voice actor, Yuri Lowenthal — but was added for the PS5 remaster and all subsequent follow-ups.

If Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is indeed in development then it’s likely still quite a few years away at this point, and as such could see a release on the PS6 or perhaps as a cross-generation title.
