Mass Effect 2 is slated for release on Jan. 18, 2011 in the U.S. and Jan. 21 in Europe, EA today confirmed with IGN.
The original Mass Effect will not be released on PS3. Instead, BioWare will include an interactive comic to help explain some of the key elements of the story. The interactive comic will act as a mini-game, of sorts, and the choices you make along the way will have an impact when you play Mass Effect 2.
The Blu-ray disc also includes the DLC Lair of the Shadow Broker, Project Overlord, Kasumi: Stolen Memory, and the Blood Dragon Armor.
It should also be noted that many have speculated that BioWare will reveal Mass Effect 3 during this weekend’s VGA on Spike TV.
