BioWare has reiterated its intention to release single-player DLC for Mass Effect 3 following an onslaught of multiplayer offerings.
All DLC for the epic sci-fi sequel to date has been focused on the game’s multiplayer component, minus the narrative-based Extended Cut. However, this looks set to change at some point down the line.
Speaking with Joystiq, producer Mike Gamble revealed that the single-player DLC is likely to focus on protagonist Commander Shepard, though hinted more multiplayer DLC is a possibility providing people still want it.
"We want to do single player DLC. We want to do single player, maybe more multiplayer if people still play it,” said Gamble.
He added that Mass Effect 3 is “Shepard’s story, so the single player DLC for Mass Effect 3 will probably focus around Shepard.”
The latest batch of DLC for Mass Effect 3, titled Earth, is due out today for PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade.
