Rockstar has confirmed that it will release a total of seven Max Payne 3 downloadable content packs throughout the year.
Gamers can receive all DLC by forking out for the DLC Pass, which will set you back $29.99/£19.99 for PlayStation 3 and 2400 Microsoft Points via Xbox 360. This will net you a 35 per cent discount over purchasing the content individually.
Things kick off with the Local Justice pack in June 2012, which features the Police Precinct multiplayer map, two extra maps, police precinct-themed avatar items and multiplayer challenges.
Following this are the Disorganised Crime Map Pack, Deathmatch Made In Heaven Mode Pack, Hostage Negotiation Map Pack and New York Minute Co-Op Pack. These will drop in Summer 2012.
In the pipeline for Fall 2012 meanwhile are the Painful Memories Map Pack and Trickle Down Economics Map Pack.
Rockstar’s Sam Houser commented: “The story of Max Payne 3 begins in the single-player game and crosses over into the deepest multiplayer experience we’ve ever created.”
“We intend to support the Max Payne community with new innovative content well into the future.”
Max Payne 3 is due out in the U.S. on May 15 and in Europe on May 18.
