According to a Kojima Report Podcast, Metal Gear Solid 4 is slated for its bug-testing phase shortly. We’re sure nobody expected such a flurry of information surrounding MGS4 during CES 2008; however, fans and media alike got just that.
Earlier today, the news broke that Kojima no longer wants to disappoint his fans. MGS4 will no longer be delayed and Kojima is set on having his marquee title release during the 2nd quarter of 2008. A date isn’t in stone as of yet because talks between Kojima and the marketing group are still taking place.
According to the Assistant Produce, Ryan Payton, Kojima himself felt bad and was definitely embarrassed over having the game slip into 2008. Payton has also let on that the game is nearing the bug testing phase, which pretty much guarantees that the game won’t be delayed any further.
The game is supposedly playable from start to finish with a few minor touches and features missing. Regardless, this is excellent news for fans everywhere. It’s almost time to get down to the nitty gritty and finally just purchase the game.
