Metal Gear Solid character designer, Yoji Shinkawa, has unveiled a stunning piece of artwork for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
Check it out below (click for full size).
That’s not all, however. The folks at DualShockers have taken it upon themselves to turn this sumptuous piece of art into an actual game cover for The Phantom Pain.
In addition to encompassing all the visual splendor you would associate with Shinkawa-san, the box art version has also included a number of key elements that were conspicuously lacking in the final cover—namely, references to Hideo Kojima and the FOX Engine.
You can check out a PlayStation 4 version of the cover below. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is due out on September 1 for PS4, PS3, PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Read our review here.
