The file size for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 versions of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain have been confirmed via a listing for the upcoming stealth-action title on the Japanese PlayStation Store.
According to the listing, which allows customers to now pre-order the Hideo Kojima-directed title, the PS4 version will weigh in at 25.1GB while the PS3 version clocks in at 11.7GB.
Considering this is an open-world game, the file size is perhaps a little surprising, as other titles of this calibre, such as Batman: Arkham Knight, have weighed in at around the 50GB mark.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is due out on September 1 for PS4, PS3, PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The game will form part of Konami’s Gamescom 2015 lineup, and features microtransactions for the first time in the series.
