Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater Producers Hint That A Younger Team Could Take The Series Forward With New Entries

Noriaki Okamura and Yuji Korekado, key producers on Konami’s upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater, have revealed that the series may continue with younger developers at the franchise reins, as nothing the the company has tapped into fresh talent to take the series forward.

Speaking with Rolling Stone, the duo didn’t outright confirm that a new Metal Gear Solid is in the pipeline, they did reveal that the main objective is to ‘build a team’ that could carry the series forward.

So, one of the reasons why we brought in a lot of fresh meat — all the new, younger developers — is because, not only did we want to give them a chance to figure out how to create and develop a Metal Gear game, but also give them a chance to experience the game themselves. And we’ll still be here for a while, but right now the goal is to build a team that could carry on the legacy on our behalf and could produce, hopefully in the future, more exciting games.
