Metal Gear Solid: Delta Snake Eater PS5 Release Date Confirmed For August 28 Via PS Store

The PlayStation Store has listed Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater for an August 28, 2025, and also confirms the return of the fan-favourite Snake vs. Monkey mode.

Originally announced a few years back as part of Konami’s attempts to resurrect the stealth-action franchise, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a full revamp of the 2004 classic Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, featuring enhanced animations, graphics, and sound, which completely overhauls the original game from the ground-up.

Among the new features include a highly detailed damage system that depicts real-time wounds on Snake’s body, as well as clothing deterioration. The original voice acting returns albeit told with high-resolution cutscenes and new character models, while the game also offers the choice of a modern of classic control scheme. As with the original 2004 stealth masterpiece, MGS Delta Snake Eater takes place during the Cold War in the 1960s, and sees Naked Snake (David Hayter) infiltrating a Russia complex to rescue a nuclear scientist.
