Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s release date did in fact go live early when it was on the game’s PlayStation Store page just last week.
So it wasn’t a major surprise, when the game got a brand new trailer during today’s February 2025 State Of Play, and that there was an August 28, 2025 release date slapped onto it at the end.
Still, it was exciting to see more of the coming remake, and to have Konami properly tell us when we can all dive back into one of the best games in the Metal Gear Solid franchise.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a full remake of the classic PS2 game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, originally released in the US back in 2004. The game sees Snake (David Hayter) infiltrating a jungle and surrounding military base to rescue a nuclear scientist, but things soon get more complicated after he is betrayed by one of his most trusted allies.
You can check out the game’s new intense trailer for yourself, below, which focuses on the Cobra Unit that Snake faces during his mission.
