Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes PS4 sells triple that of Xbox One release

A recent financial report filed by Konami (via GI) has revealed that the PlayStation 4 version of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes sold three times as much as its Xbox One counterpart.

According to the industry giant, Sony’s latest home system made up 12 percent of console and PC sales during the three month period ended June 30. By comparison, Xbox One contributed just four percent.

Ground Zeroes, which also hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, was released in March at the tail end of Konami’s previous fiscal year. Despite this, PS4 made up eight percent of the company’s game sales during this time, with Xbox One accounting for three percent.
