Kojima Productions has said that the release date for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be announced soon.
Speaking on the latest Kojima Station podcast, a representative for the company stated, “I know you’ve all been eagerly await for word on releasing timing. I think we should be able to announce that soon, so look forward to that.
“It’s only a little longer.”
In addition, it has also been confirmed that new information on The Phantom Pain will drop at Taipei Game Show on January 31.
Kojima Productions will soon begin testing for bugs once it has finished tweaking some of the game’s newly introduced elements.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is the follow-up to last year’s Ground Zeroes, and is due out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 platforms.
The game takes place in Afghanistan during the 1980s and follows Big Boss as he wakes from a coma, and continues the open-world template established by its predecessor.
