Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will release at some point in 2015, series head Hideo Kojima has confirmed.
Confirmed at Konami’s showcase event this year’s Tokyo Game Show, the ambitious Kojima Productions-developed entry will miss 2014 entirely – putting an end to the cryptic rumours that the game might sneak in before the end of the year.
Kojima-san did, however, shy away from giving away any potential release bracket as well as mentioning whether or not all announced platforms would see a release simultaneously.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is the next fully-fledged entry in the Metal Gear franchise, following on from the contentious prologue, Ground Zeroes, which saw release earlier this year in March.
