4A Games has shared details on the Metro 2039 Collector’s Edition, which features a bunch of extra goodies including a replica of the Stranger’s Spartan Helmet.
The Metro 2039: Collector’s Edition will be available to preorder later this year and the helmet featured in the set will be on display at GamesCom this week. Here’s the official blurb:
Built directly from the in-game 3D model of METRO 2039’s protagonist, it’s the ultimate METRO collectible – and it’s on display at Gamescom this week. Head over to our booth in Hall 9.1 for a close-up look at this stunning replica. As many of you will know, the Spartan helmet is an important part of METRO lore, iconography and gameplay. With its hinged visor and trademark integrated gas mask elements, the Spartan helmet is an essential survival tool for an irradiated world.
Each one has its own unique qualities, and the Stranger’s helmet is no different. Through its damage detail, scratches and personal customisations, the Stranger’s helmet tells its own story of a post-apocalyptic life marked by untold horrors, trauma, and life-or-death decisions. This faithful recreation of the Stranger’s helmet will only be available as part of the METRO 2039 Collector’s Edition, which you’ll be able to pre-order later on this year.
Metro 2039 is slated for release in February 2027 and takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting following a nuclear war, continuing the franchise based on the novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky. The game is set four years after the events of Metro Exodus, and follows the Stranger, a former Metro resident plagued by violent and traumatic nightmares.
