On March 31, developer 4A confirmed the existence of "Metro Redux," which was assumed to be ports of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light for next-generation consoles.
A post on their website stated that the company "will be making an announcement this side of E3." With the Los Angeles-based expo quickly approaching, a view of the Metro: Last Light twitter page shows a Vine video, which features a DualShock 4, the game’s on the PlayStation 4 dashboard, and some gameplay footage.
Obviously, no release date has been confirmed at this point. And, while the Vine video showcases PS4 hardware, 4A and publisher Deep Silver stated that the project is slated for next-gen consoles.
Speculation suggests that there may be some features exclusive to the PS4 since the video did not feature the Xbox One, but we will have to wait until E3 to know for sure.
For anyone who previously played the Metro games, is this something that excites you? Or is this just another port to pass the time while we wait for new IPs?
