MGS: Peace Walker "Big Boss" PSP pack revealed

Sony today announced the limited edition “Big Boss” Pack for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, available on June 8, the same day the game is slated for release. The Big Boss Pack will include a special “Camouflage” PSP-3000, a copy of Hideo Kojima’s Peace Walker on UMD, a voucher for additional content, a TBA PSN downloadable movie voucher (UMD version available for Canadian residents), a 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo, and a premium carry case. The whole package will cost $199.99 USD

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is the follow-up (sort of) to Metal Gear Solid 3 for the PlayStation 2. You’ll play as Naked Snake in 1974, with a completely new and original game design and story by Kojima.

“With a vast lineup of chart-topping, AAA titles, PlayStation and Konami have long been synonymous with compelling gameplay experiences,” said Bob McKenzie, senior vice president of merchandising, GameStop. “As the leading video game and entertainment software retailer, we saw this as a huge opportunity to offer ultimate Metal Gear Solid fans something truly unique. When coupled with exclusive content like the ‘Camouflage’ PSP-3000 system and carrying case, the ‘Big Boss’ Pack is sure to give gaming enthusiasts something to look forward to this summer.”

Sony says Peace Walker is one of the first of several premiere PSP titles from both first and third-party publishers in 2010. Perhaps we’ll hear about some more big PSP games at E3. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be available exclusively on the PSP via UMD congruently with the release of the Big Boss Pack on June 8.
