MGS4, Peace Walker team now involved with MGS: Rising

Kojima Productions has confirmed in its most recent podcast that the development team responsible for MGS 4 & Peace Walker are now involved with the production of upcoming ‘lightning bolt action’ romp Metal Gear Solid: Rising.

“Every once in a while we do this [move around] as one project finishes, then the next project starts up, so the key people have to relocate. Peace Walker’s winding down so Rising is winding up, so people have got to move around,” said the company.

Rising was unveiled for the first time at Microsoft’s E3 2009 press conference last June, before promptly dropping off the radar. However, word on the net has it that the game may be featured the next issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly.

Metal Gear Solid: Rising is due for release on PS3, 360 and PC platforms and will apparently focus on the adventures of floppy-haired hero Raiden, who players controlled in MGS2 and later saw aid Snake in his final battle against Liquid Ocelot in MGS4.
