According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chad Stahelski, best known for his work on the John Wick franchise, has been signed up to direct the upcoming Rainbow Six movie starring Michael B Jordan.
This is the second Tom Clancy film planned by Paramount, the other being 2021’s Without Remorse, which was released for Amazon Prime Video. It was an origin story for John Clark, played by Jordan, with Rainbow Six being positioned as a follow-up with the Creed star once again returning as Clark.
While Without Remorse did not receive a theatrical release, it is understood that Paramount is keen to release Rainbow Six in cinemas.
Base on Tom Clancy’s novel of the same name, Rainbow Six (1998) was released for PSOne, Dreamcast and Nintendo 64 and was developed by Red Storm Entertainment. The franchise saw instalments based within the Tom Clancy universe, with the latest entry being Rainbow Six Extraction.
