Platform holder Microsoft has extended a hearty congratulations to Sony ahead of the release of the hotly anticipated PlayStation 4-exclusive, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
Xbox One chief Phil Spencer gave both Sony and developer Naughty Dog a friendly nudge on Twitter, describing Nathan Drake’s final adventure as yet another great instalment in the 21-million selling franchise.
Have a butcher’s at Spencer’s Tweet below. The Microsoft executive isn’t the only one from the Xbox One camp to come away impressed by Uncharted 4; Quantum Break’s PR boss also extolled Nate’s swansong on Twitter earlier today.
Uncharted 4 will make a running-jump into stores on May 10, 2016. The sequel is Naughty Dog’s final entry in the nine-year-old series, though it’s not necessarily the final Uncharted game full stop. However, don’t expect to see Nate heading up Uncharted 5 if it does return.
The California-based studio has revealed that it has at least one more game in the pipeline for the PS4, and has indicated it will revisit prototypes for The Last of Us 2 once it has wrapped up on Uncharted 4’s single-player DLC.
