Orphan Of The Machines Dev Says MS Cares More Than Sony About 120 FPS

Orphan of the Machine is targeting 4K/120 FPS for the Xbox Series X, whereas on the PS5, it’s targeting 4K/60 FPS. Why is this? Well, when asked about why it won’t be 120 FPS on Sony’s new console, the studio responded on Twitter with the following:

It’s possible if I drop the resolution. It’s something I may look into, but MS seems to care a lot more about 120fps than Sony does, which is why I’ve catered that feature to the Series X.

The one-man indie studio also said that he works with Unity engine, and doesn’t yet have full access to all of the PS5 features, hence why 120 FPS is not yet possible.

The PS5 and Xbox Series are both pencilled in for a holiday 2020 launch.
