Microsoft News PS5 Sony Xbox Xbox Games On PS5 Sales Estimates

Microsoft’s Exclusives On PS5 Have Mixed Results In New Sales Estimates, But Forza Horizon 5 Has Pulled In Serious Numbers

Alinea Analytics has unearthed sales estimates for a number of Microsoft exclusives that were ported by the Xbox maker to the PS5, and from the look of things, Forza Horizon 5 is the clear winner while other haven’t performed quite as well.

Published on Wednesday, the data includes 13 titles that have sold over 100,000 copies on Sony’s current-generation system, but doesn’t include Call of Duty or various legacy titles that were in development for PS5 before Microsoft snapped them up. Minecraft is also not included, although it’s fair to say that game has had no problems remaining a top-seller. As you can see from the list below, three games have reached over one million sales on the PS5, with Forza Horizon 5 the big winner.

Interestingly, Gears of War ranked fifth on the last with sales of just under 700,000, which is impressive but maybe not what some expected considering it’s easily one of Microsoft’s biggest first-party franchises.

  1. Forza Horizon 5 (5.8 million)
  2. Sea of Thieves (2.7 million)
  3. The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered (1.2 million)
  4. Grounded (770,000)
  5. Gears of War Reloaded (684,000)
  6. DOOM: The Dark Ages (567,000)
  7. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (537,000)
  8. Ninja Garden 4 (262,000)
  9. Microsoft Flight Simulator (252,000)
  10. Starfield (207,000)
  11. Age of Empires 2: Remastered (173,000)
