Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, the upcoming action-RPG from Monolith Productions, has received a swanky live-action short film, courtesy of Corridor Digital.
As with the game itself, the film stars a ranger named Talion, who after being "banished from death and embodied by a mysterious spirit, is compelled to seek vengeance on those who killed his family and left him to die.”
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is set in the same universe as J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy novels, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and is set in the 60 years between both adventures.
The game is scheduled to ship for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the U.S. on September 30 and in Europe on October 3. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will arrive in November.
