Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst announced for PlayStation4 coming February 2016

EA have officially unveiled Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst at E3 2015. The game sees a return to the character of Faith, the game’s lead protagonist from the original game, released back in 2008 for the PlayStation3. Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst plays as an origin story to the series, giving players a large open world to explore with no loading screen and no levels. Completely streamlined for a true open-world parkour adventure, thanks to the capabilities of the latest Frostbite Engine.

Abandoning gunfire and taking a refinement to combat, there’s also a stronger emphasis on hand-to-hand brawling, including counter-attacks and grappling. Although there’s not much revealed on the game’s story at this point, we do know it’s said to be set in a world ruled by fear, with no freedom and no privacy, under the ruler of Gabriel Krueger, the games main antagonist.

Mirror’s Edge™ Catalyst will be available February 26, 2016 in the United Kingdom (February 23, 2016 in North America and starting February 25, 2016 in Europe).
