UK retail behemoth GAME’s indicated that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is on track to smash pre-orders set by its predecessor CoD: Black Ops back in 2010.
Speaking to MCV, Group MD Tom Devine said pre-orders for the military shooter are stacking up rather impressively, and teased that the retailer has some ‘surprises’ lined-up for early adopters.
"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders are already tracking significantly ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops at the same time last year," he said.
"We know that the Call of Duty brand and franchise has the most amazing fan-base and we’ve got some great surprises lined up for those who pre-order with us. We’re looking forward to an incredible launch on November 8th."
Things are looking pretty positive across the pond too, with GameStop recently saying that pre-orders for Modern Warfare 3 were tracking at a ‘record-setting pace.’
