Modern Warfare 3 tops U.S. February 2012 sales

Retail tracker the NPD Group has confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 took the crown for the highest-selling videogame in the U.S. last month.

The state-of-the-art military shooter, which was released in November 2011, has topped the U.S. software charts for four consecutive months now.

Other titles that performed strongly in February 2012 include Final Fantasy XIII-2 and UFC Undisputed 3, which made second and third place, respectively.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and Just Dance 3 round out the top five.
