Capcom has announced that it will be hosting a Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test later this month for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, giving you the chance to test drive the highly anticipated title ahead of its February 2025 launch.
The PS5 Open Beta Test will run October 28 — October 30 exclusively for PlayStation Plus members, while regular PS5 users and Xbox Series X/S owners will be able to take part in the beta from October 31 — November 3. Those of you who take part in the Open Beta Test will receive a ‘special bonus’ that can be redeemed in the full version of Monster Hunter Wilds.

The purpose of this test is to allow players to experience a limited portion of Monster Hunter Wilds and also to verify various technical aspects such as network load and overall operation prior to the game’s full release.Please note that the final product is still in development. Certain aspects such as game specifications and balance may differ in the full version. We are committed to ensuring the quality of the final product.
The Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Test will feature a character creation suite that includes everything planned for the full version of the game, and you will be able to transfer your character and data over to the finished product early next year. Meanwhile, beta participants can hit up the Story Trial, allowing you to see the opening cutscene and play through the Chatacabra hunt with tutorials.
Monster Hunter Wilds is pencilled in for a February 28, 2024 release on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
