Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Wilds has sold a staggering eight million copies in just three days, making it the fastest title in the company’s history to reach that milestone.
In addition to the game’s commercial success, the PC version of Monster Hunter Wilds hit an all-time peak of 1,384,608 players. Monster Hunter Wilds arrived on February 28, 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and you can read our full review here.

Capcom revealed last week that Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 will arrive in early April, and introduces fresh challenges for players to tackle as well as an all-new meeting place. In addition, a new patch is arriving for the game today that will iron out the progression bug that has been causing issues since launch.
The Monster Hunter franchise originally launched back in 2004 and started off as a cult series, but found huge mainstream success with the release of 2018’s Monster Hunter World.
