Bethesda has released a slew of new screens for its upcoming Fallout: New Vegas. In addition, we have some details about the game that is sure to excite any fan of the Fallout series.
In Fallout: New Vegas, you’ll battle your way across the Mojave Wasteland, the Hoover Dam, and the Vegas Strip. The game will feature a colourful cast of characters, factions, special weapons, mutated enemies, and so much more. In the follow-up to the hit 2008 game, Fallout 3, New Vegas will allow you to choose your sides in the upcoming war, or crown yourself as the new King of New Vegas.
That war mentioned earlier is between hostile factions. The consequences of this war will change the lives of the inhabitants of New Vegas. The choices you make will have an impact with the world around you, determining the creatures, allies, and foes you come in contact with, and the final explosive outcome.
Some of the new features in New Vegas include a Companion Wheel that streamlines directing your companions, a Reputation System that tracks the consequences of your actions, and a Hardcore Mode to really test your Fallout abilities. You’ll also find a new special melee combat system, along with the continued use of V.A.T.S. to pause time in combat, target specific enemy body parts, and queue up your attacks.
Of course you will find new weapons, but you’ll also be able to tinker with your toys and see the modifications you make in real time.
