NetherRealm Studios has staple-gunned a July 23, 2024 date to Mortal Kombat 1 DLC character Takeda Takahashi for Kombat Pack owners.
Debuting in Mortal Kombat X, Takeda is a student of Hanzo Hasashi, aka Scorpion, and the son of Kenshi, and is armed with bladed whips. You can check him out in a new trailer below.

Mortal Kombat 1 was released for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S in Fall 2023. The game introduces a brand new narrative arc for the series following the defeat of Kronika in Mortal Kombat 11, with Fire God Liu Kang having constructed a brand new timeline where the series’ titular tournament is once again held, with new incarnations of the likes of Johnny Cage, Kung-Lao, Kenshi and more participating.
NetherRealm has supported Mortal Kombat 1 with numerous post-launch DLC and balance updates, with new characters including Homelander and Peacemaker.
