NetherRealm Studios has announced that Mortal Kombat 1 is adding a new Kameo character to the roster on January 16 in the shape of Khameleon.
Khameleon first appeared in the Nintendo 64 version of Mortal Kombat Trilogy, and is a female version of Chameleon, who appeared in the PSOne version of the game. While the male version of the character possessed the shared abilities of all the male ninjas, Khameleon was able to wield the powers of the female ninjas, including Kitana, Mileena, and Jade.
The character was absent from the series for a while until the Wii version of Mortal Kombat Armageddon, and was integrated into the lore as a member of Umgadi under Tanya’s leadership.
