Mortal Kombat 2 Movie Set To Film In Australia In June 2023

A report on Geek Vibes Nation has revealed that Mortal Kombat 2, the upcoming sequel to 2021’s Mortal Kombat movie reboot, will begin filming in June 2023 in Australia and will wrap up in September.

This was confirmed by producer Todd Garner on Twitter, although there’s no much else to go on right now as we haven’t really seen anything significant on the sequel, other than it’ll feature Johnny Cage. However, a report on That Hashtag Show claims that we’ll also see the likes of Quan Chi, Katana, Shao Khan, and Baraka join the fight.

Mortal Kombat 2 will see Simon McQuiod returning as director as well as cast members including Lewis Tan, Mehcad Brooks, Ludi Lin, and Chin Han also set to reprise their roles. Meanwhile, Joe Taslim, who portrayed Sub-Zero in the first movie, has expressed interest in returning as Noob Saibot.
