Mortal Kombat DLC arriving ‘in the next few weeks’

NetherRealm Studios has revealed that Mortal Kombat will be receiving its first batch of character DLC “in the next few weeks.”

Speaking to G4TV, MK mastermind Ed Boon confirmed that the DLC – which adds sultry ninja Skarlet to the roster – will launch alongside an upcoming patch designed to introduce a few balance tweaks.

Boon also added that the DLC will ship with “some free stuff,” though wouldn’t elaborate any further on the matter.

As for Skarlet, fans of the bloody beat ‘em up series should recognise the name, as she was allegedly featured in MKII as a palette swap of blue-clad babe Kitana.

In regards to the balance changes meanwhile, Boon said gamers can expect full details on NetherRealm’s official website:

"There’s some stuff people already know is going to be addressed, but we do want to have an official place for people to look at to see what the difference is at the very least,” he commented.
