Muzyka says BioWare is ‘very proud’ of Dragon Age II

Dr. Ray Muzyka, co-founder of BioWare, has heaped praise on the studios’ forthcoming fantasy epic Dragon Age II, describing it as among the esteemed developer’s “best work” to date.

"I am very proud of the bold, ambitious direction our team took with Dragon Age II, which I think is some of the best work yet from BioWare," said Muzyka, during a chinwag with the folks at PSM3.

"The Dragon Age team built on their success with Dragon Age: Origins and also focused on innovation for our players, delivering better combat, creating an incredible new art style and introducing a dynamic storytelling technique to really raise the bar for both the franchise and the genre."

Available in North America from today and in Europe this Friday, Dragon Age II chronicles the tale of Hawke, who survived an attack by the Darkspawn horde on the original games’ village of Lothering.

Players embark on a sprawling adventure that spans an entire decade, with fresh combat, spells and an improved dialogue wheel based on Mass Effect. Unlike Origins, however, the main character’s race remains fixed, though features full voice acting.
