When will it end? Today Square Enix announced its intentions to purchase Eidos, then Midway filed for bankruptcy, and now Namco Bandai has revealed its plans to buy D3, the parent company of D3 Publisher.
Interpreter Andria Sang translated Namco Bandai’s latest press release, which declares that Namco Bandai "has already reached an agreement with multiple D3 share holders, including majority shareholder Fields, to acquire some 70% of currently issued D3 shares."
Should D3 be bought out, which appears certain at this point, it will become a subsidiary of Namco Bandai. The press release explained the necessity in tough times "to work together as one group company in order to strengthen global developments and expand business."
Once again, when will it end? In ten years time, will we be buying games from Square Nactubicom Arts? We sure hope not, and you should too.
