There’s been plenty of rumors over the last couple of years that Naughty Dog are working on a new game. But what exactly is the Uncharted and The Last of Us developer up to?
Well, for sure they’re continuing work on The Last of Us Part 2, which isn’t due for release until 2019. However, some evidence has surfaced that may provide a couple of clues to its next game.
Stemming from a Tweet by a Daniel R on Twitter, who lives in L.A. and has apparently leaked other Hollywood secrets in the past, he claims to have a scoop.
“Oh, this is interesting”, he writes. “Here’s a video game scoop for you; Naughty Dog (developers of the Uncharted series and The Last of Us) are working on a new secret project which they are currently casting in LA.”
Following on from that, he then posted a picture of the type of person that want to cast for a lead, or one of the lead roles. They’re seeking “a black/African American male,” he writes. 40’s to 60’s, short to medium length hair with a body type to those in the reference images below.
The lead of the game (or at least one of the leads) they are casting for is “A Black/African American male. 40’s to 60’s, short to medium length hair with a body type similar to those in the reference images below. Strong but not chiseled.”

Incidentally, that’s Chad L. Coleman who voiced Coach in Left 4 Dead 2.
Sadly, that’s all there is to it. It could, of course be the next Uncharted game, or even another chapter in The Last of Us series. Or, maybe Naughty Dog will surprise us with a brand-new IP!
