Neil Druckmann has revealed that he’s working on a new project but made it clear he’s not ready to talk about it yet — not unless it’s leaked by PlayStation, that is.
This was a clear reference to The Last of Us Part 1 leaking mere hours before Summer Game Fest kicked off when the game appeared on PlayStation Direct. Druckmann was obviously disappointed by the leak, although he still had some news to share in the shape of The Last of Us multiplayer project.
[I’m] still making games, I haven’t given up my day job,” he responded. “It’s a little too early to talk about it. Maybe if someone in PlayStation wants to leak it then we could talk about it now, otherwise we’ll save it. “[I] do have a new project, but we’ll save it for another Summer Game Fest.
Druckmann also revealed that the success of The Last of Us Part 2 — which has sold over 10 million copies worldwide — has allowed Naughty Dog to take on more projects.
