Electronic Arts today announced the latest game in its high-octane Need for Speed series: The Run. In Need for Speed The Run — which launches on November 15, 2011 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, and 3DS — players race across the country from some unknown threat in very fast cars. At least, that’s what we’ve gathered from the debut teaser trailer, which we’ve included below for your viewing pleasure.

“This is the year that Need for Speed goes to the next level,” boasted Jason DeLong, executive producer at EA Black Box. “We think that Need for Speed The Run is going to surprise people with its intense, thrilling story and big action feel.”
The Run is built on the Frostbite 2.0 Engine, the same technology that powers DICE’s upcoming FPS Battlefield 3. It also features ‘Autolog’ connectivity, a social network feature that allows racers to compare times and track career progression.
