While the Arkham series is finished, Warner Bros has no intention on letting the Dark Knight disappear from the world of gaming. At The Game Awards 2015, Telltale Games unveiled a new Batman game project.
The announcement came with a teaser trailer showing noir-comic drawings painting on screen and voiceovers discussing everything from the state of Gotham to Bruce Wayne.
Telltale’s Batman game will be released in the studio’s usual episodic format and arrive on home consoles, PC/Mac, and mobile in 2016. No specific title, platforms, or details were announced.
“At Telltale, we’ve been honored to bring our unique approach to interactive storytelling to some of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world, and we’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be exploring what it means to be Batman in an all-new series starting next year,” Kevin Bruner, Telltale Co-Founder and CEO, said in a statement.
“This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.”
