Battlefield 1 is currently in development for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One and is scheduled to hit stores on October 21, 2016. The title is the first WW1-based shooter that EA has published since Wings of Glory back in 1994.

Inspired by historical events, Battlefield 1 incorporates a number of authentic WW1 weaponry, such a bolt-action rifles, mustard gas, shotguns, and pistols. Outside of slugging it out with infantry in the trenches and fields, the game also allows players to mix it up with the likes of tanks, aircraft, battleships, and even horseback infantry.

Battlefield 1’s single-player campaign is largely being kept under wraps at present, though the multiplayer component has been flexing its 64-player-sized muscles ever since its unveiling a few months back.
