New Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Update To Add ‘To The Wilder’ Difficulty Mode, New Items & More

Hideo Kojima has revealed during a recent podcast that a new Death Stranding 2: On the Beach update will be released for PS5 to coincide with the PC version of the title.

Kojima Productions is adding a wealth of new content for the Death Stranding 2 update, including a new To The Wilder difficulty mode for those looking for an extra challenge, as well as new items, live-action scenes that were cut due to space limitations, and the option to replay Neil battles at any point.

Beyond that, the patch will add Chiral Cat in Sam’s room on the DHMV Magellan, as well as various game adjustments based on player feedback and UltraWide support for PC. Furthermore, the PC version of Death Stranding 2 will gain DualSense support, and the development team have added various other adjustments.

Death Stranding 2 is set eleven months after the original game, and takes place primarily in Australia, where Earth has bene ravaged by otherworldly beings. Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus) returns as the main character, as he ventures out with his companions to connect isolated survivors and colonies to the wireless chiral communications network in order to save humanity from being wiped out.
