Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, has revealed during a recent shareholders meeting that the publisher has a new first-person Ghost Recon game in development.
That’s according to a report by Stephen Totilo, who stated that Guillemot touched on the success of Rainbow Six Siege — which has been going for nearly decade — as a standout example of Ubisoft’s pedigree in live service games. The CEO commented that, “our objective is to also make strong progress in the growing market, generally speaking, by continuing to enhance our current experiences that we offer — and capitalising on upcoming launches, such as The Division and Ghost Recon.

Meanwhile, Fredrick Duguet, Chief Financial Officer for Ubisoft, was asked about how the company will use its investment from Tencent, and in response said it will be “used for future development of other major brand names. So, we’ve got…Ghost Recon is just one example, for our first-person-shooter-type games.” He continued, “And we also want to boost our live games,” including The Crew and For Honor.
As previously reported, a new Ghost Recon game was stated to be entering the internal Alpha stage later this year, and is known by the codename Ovr. That’s according to a report on Insider Gaming, which also stated that the new Ghost Recon could arrive at some point around Fall 2026.
